Roses are in full bloom in Idaho right now. Here is a fun project that your preschooler will not only love, but the end result will be a beautiful flower! This activity takes multiple days, but your preschooler will love watching the daily progress.
Supplies Needed:
1 white or ivory colored rose
3-4 food colors
3-4 small cups or jars
Cutting knife (adults only!)
For full instructions, visit https://www.tobyandroo.com/rainbow-roses-valentines-day-perfect-science-craft-kids/. Just understanding that the flower drank up the colored water and it changed the petals to the water’s color is enough for a preschooler. But if you would like a more scientific explanation of what has occurred, you can also find that on this website.
Happy coloring!
